This is a perfect illustration that demonstrates the variety of genres and who they apply to. As shown in the diagram, romance is mostly aimed at the female audience, on the other hand action and Sci Fi is targeted at a more male audience. In my opinion, this can be classed as a stereo typical thought, however right most of the time, in some occastions males may like to watch a romantic film, like myself only with a nice date, in the same way a female may be interested in action films as they class to be more adventures.
In addition, comedy is one of my favourite genres, as viewed on the diagram comedy apply s to both male and female including children. It has been said that comedy produces the most income as its not targeted at one specific audience, it targets all three allowing more people to view its films and therefore increasing its income, followers and popularity.
